Last apology, I swear....I'm having an adverse reaction.....
So many - too many - apologies!! Very unlike me...ask anyone who knows me... I've written 2 different posts for the Oscars, and unfortunately, neither sounded like my voice. I'm not a teacher, I'm a ranter, and if you learn something from me, that's just a semi-fortunate side-effect. I don't specialize in facts, but opinions. Waaaay out there opinions. You want facts...there've been enough educated articles about this subject in the last 2 weeks to choke a crazed, highly opinionated blogger. I know...I still haven't stopped gagging. So later today I'll have my Oscar piece posted. It'll be a "picks and pans" type piece with some rants, some raves, and a bit of rambling, but NOT the historically based piece I'd foolishly intended. I have absolutely no business being correct.

Unlikely to apologize, indeed. That's what I've heard about you. You're a hoot.... Get the damn piece posted already. And, just so you know, someone referred me to this blog, (we do not know each other), and I really do love it!!!! I've passed it on to a lot of friends and I think everyone should do that.

So,what's the Oscar verdict already???? I want to hear your rant! And rave....I can only say one thing, MUNICH should win an Oscar, and so should CRASH. Enough with the Brokeback Mountain hype.

Couldn't agree more on both "Munich" and "Crash", Alexia. But especially on "Brokeback Molehill". A tad overhyped without enough substance. Putting the finishing touches on the post now. Tune in tonight. And thanks for reading and feeding back!!!

Well, goes to show what I know, but I'll toss in Training Day and that Jamie Foxx Tom Cruise Michael Mann film to Magnolia, Traffic, and Grand Canyon and there you have it a Crash a rehash of a bunch of other films. I didn't see the other four nominees, but I thought both Hustle and Flow and The Constant Gardener (just think of the the ensembles and in the case of the Constant Gardener, the issues--just think of performance after performance in each) were much better than Crash. I guess it was a Hollywood thing. Shows what I know.
